The Internet Butler, or iButler, is an innovative method of providing Seniors with a virtual interface to the Internet from the comfort of their living room utilizing their own HDTV.

Our goal is to create applications which can be easily accessed using multiple technologies specifically designed for Seniors such as speech recognition, to eliminate difficulties associated with a keyboard and mouse.

iButler applications will appear on the large HDTV display to make viewing easier for those with visual impairment.

The iButler applications are limited only to the imagination of developers who will be able to write special apps designed to allow Seniors to be able to continue using all of the same PC and Web applications that they have always used.  In addition, there will be new apps for helping Seniors with everyday challenges such as paying bills online or communicating with children and grandchildren via text, email, voice or video conferencing.
